A luxury long weekend retreat set in 30 acres of private garden and parkland on which Jim will share with you 3 decades of study and practice.

 

In the glorious surroundings of this grade II listed historic country house, nestled on the edge of Wensleydale, gateway to Yorkshire’s fabulous dales, this Friday to Sunday weekend yoga retreat provides the perfect setting for replenishment. Throughout the long weekend, Jim will share with you the wisdom of 3 decades of focused study and practice, giving you the tools to heal, connect, and restore to your essential state of joy and wellbeing. A maximum of 12 guests ensures a high level of personal attention from one of our senior teachers.

Set in dozens of acres of private parkland and woodland, the stunning gardens house a tennis court, hot tub, heated indoor swimming pool and walled meditation garden. The interior is just as impressive with a beautiful and well-equipped yoga studio and two gorgeous sitting rooms with real log fires to curl up with a good book or simply enjoy the views.

Sessions with Jim are a joyous exploration of body, breath and mind, filled with profound insight, timeless wisdom and a whole lot of humour. There will be plenty of scope over the weekend to dive deeper into your yoga practice with opportunities for Q&A’s with Jim to address any questions you may have regarding asana, meditation, pranayama or any other aspects of your practice. You are certain to laugh a lot over the weekend, and then, when the laughter stops, you’ll realise that there has been a deep, and very positive, shift in the core of your being.

29th May:

Please aim to arrive as close to 3pm as possible. Suggested trains are given after booking.

  • 3pm: Arrival, teas, cakes, snacks and settling in

  • 5pm: Jim will lead our first session as a group, welcoming us to the retreat and opening the space for a transformational retreat.

  • 7pm: Dinner

  • 8:30pm: After dinner meditation

30th May

  • 7:30 – 8am: Self service teas and coffee and fruit

  • 8am: Morning Yoga

  • 10am: Breakfast

  • 1pm: Lunch

  • 3pm: Troubleshooting Q&A with Jim

  • 4pm: Tea and cake

  • 5pm: Afternoon yoga

  • 7pm: Dinner

  • 8:30pm: Meditation

31st May:

  • 7:30 – 8am: Self-service teas and coffee and fruit

  • 8am: Morning Yoga

  • 10am: Breakfast

  • 11:30am: Closing session

  • 1pm: Lunch

  • 2:30pm – Check out and taxis to train station
