What to Expect
You will practice movement, breathwork, and meditations in any yoga and/or Pilates practice here at YSY. We invite you to work with your own body and respect your personal physiology, everyone is different in class, do what you can, and feel good about that.
Whilst there is no movement, we choose not to accept anyone onto a gong sound session that is pregnant. Should you attend a sound bath or attend a Kundalini yoga class, or yoga Nidra (where the Nidra states the gong will be played), you are declaring you are not pregnant.
Who should not practice classes with us?
You must be in good physical health and/or NOT currently under any doctor’s medical advice limiting your physical activity.
YSY does not currently accept Pregnant Ladies/Post-Natal within 6 months from their delivery day. Some yoga classes involve breath retention practices or a specific yogic breath called Breath of Fire. Anyone who is pregnant or suffers from Hypertension (particularly untreated) should not practice these breaths. Please practice Long Slow Deep Breathing when a Breath of Fire is instructed to be part of the movement/breathwork. If you are attending a private one-to-one class B of F and breath retentions will be discussed/assessed according to your individual health needs.
